Elite Bass Tournament 6-13-10
The Kansas Highway Patrol is again teaming up with the C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation to host the 5th Annual KHP/C.A.S.T. event held at El Dorado Lake. This distinct community program was created to unite the Kansas Highway Patrol, Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, Kansas Bass Federation Nation and other sponsors with the C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation in their missions to help disabled and disadvantaged children.
This being our fifth year for the KHP/C.A.S.T. event in Kansas we have plenty to celebrate. Our KHP/C.A.S.T. event will again be host to about fifty children and we need bass fisherman and boaters to take the kids fishing (all fishing equipment provided for the children). A fabulous BBQ Feast and Awards Bash to be held on Blue Stem point at noon.
On Sunday there will be a benefit tournament for Kansas C.A.S.T. for those boaters wishing to participate. This will be an Elite Tournament one angler one boat. Entry fee is $100.00 per boater, $10.00 big bass, with an 80% payback and 100% payback on big bass. This will be a paper tournament and you will have a tournament official in the boat with you to verify catch.
All proceeds from this high profile fundraising event will benefit the Kansas C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation.
We need your help so as a boater you will be treated to BBQ on Friday night, Coffee and Donuts Saturday morning awards banquet at lunch and pizza Saturday night prior to the tournament Sunday morning. I will also have lodging available for groups of boaters in the cabins at the lake (there will be no charge, if interested please call and inquire).
By supporting this event, you will provide the means necessary to enhance the Kansas C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation’s positive work in this community and the state of Kansas. Event sponsorship income will assist C.A.S.T. in reaching their mission to provide disabled and disadvantaged children the opportunity to enjoy a quality outdoor recreational experience through the sport of fishing.
