2010 K.B.F.N. State Qualifier

Specific Rules

 

Tournament Committee: The Tournament Committee shall consist of the K.B.F.N. Tournament Director, Asst. Tournament Director, State President and three members of the K.B.F.N.
Entry Forms and Fees: A properly completed and signed entry form and the entrance fee of $170.00 (entire tournament) (optional big bass pot per tournament of $10.00 per day) for a total of $200.00, must be in the hands of the Tournament Director 10 days prior to the tournament date to avoid a late fee of $20.00. The Tournament Director reserves the right to disqualify any late entries. Refund of entrance fee will be made only if proper notification is given to the Tournament Director.  Cancellations must be in writing and submitted to Tournament Director 10 days prior to Tournament.  AFTER 10 DAYS - NO REFUNDS. 

Boat and Motor: A contestant answering affirmatively to the question, “Will you bring a boat and motor?” will be expected to make that boat and motor available for tournament use by himself and his daily partner, if so requested by the Tournament Committee.  Those answering the same question negatively will be presumed not to have a boat and motor available and will be paired with one who does when possible.  

 

Pre-Tournament Practice and Off Limits:  Tournament waters will not be off limits for practice at any time. All State, and GRDA restrictions will apply to both practice and tournament. Tournament director  will announce any  additional off limits at the beginning of each tournament day.

 

Official Checkpoint: Upon arriving at the weigh-in station, any and all fish brought to the weigh-in master, shall become the property of the weigh-in master. Only with the permission of the tournament director, shall the contestants retain their fish or disqualification will result. Tying up of, caging of, or seeding of fish under any circumstances shall result in disqualification and permanent banning from any and all future K.B.F.N. sponsored tournaments. 

Guaranteed Boater: To have the best opportunity to become a boater in the qualifier, any boater’s entry accompanied by a non-boater entry will be paired first.  Both entry fees and optional Big Bass fees must accompany the entry forms and be received together.

 

Registration: Each competitor or his designated representative must register in person with official K.B.F.N. staff at the time and place designated in the schedule of events. Failure to register in person during the prescribed hours shall result in a penalty of 1 pound off your total catch. IT SHALL BE EACH COMPETITOR’S RESPONSIBILITY TO EITHER CHECK THE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS FOR REGISTRATION TIME AND LOCATION OR OBTAIN TIMES FROM THE K.B.F.N. TOURNAMENT DEPARTMENT. Registration shall consist of checking for appropriate local fishing license, current insurance, member in good standing status, and any other thing necessary as deemed by the Tournament Director or Tournament Committee.

 

Participants and Eligibility: K.B.F.N. Tournaments are held for the benefit of the K.B.F.N. and its members.  Tournaments are open only to K.B.F.N. members. Members must maintain membership with B.A.S.S., affiliated Club and K.B.F.N.  Those with memberships in other State Federations will not be eligible.
